Author of the book “Die Mutige Führungskraft – Führung auf Basis eines erweiterten Menschenbildes” (The Courageous Leader – Leadership Based on an Expanded View of the Human Being). The book is the translation of Fully Human, with significant adaptations and additions.

I have explored this expanded view of the human being scientifically, completing training as a certified HeartMath Coach and Trainer. So that I can also bring this knowledge into personal, leadership, and team development, I additionally completed HeartMath’s “Activate the Heart of Teams” course.

ABOUT ME
Over 35 years of practical business experience in founding, building, leading, financing, advising, and overseeing small and medium-sized enterprises.
Building and leading many different teams.
Advising and helping shape succession processes.
Financing and/or advising dozens of companies across all stages of development—from start-up, through growth and sale, to institutions over 100 years old.
Steering companies through financial reports and key performance indicators.
Hiring, leading, supporting, and dismissing employees.
Making decisions and taking responsibility for small to large investments (up to approximately 100 million euros).
Board and committee experience in various contexts, such as executive management, investment committee, supervisory board, and board of directors.
Taking on responsibility in hierarchical organizations as well as in more self-organized teams.
Facilitation of leadership teams and their strategy retreats.
Conflict mediation and resolution.
One-on-one support for executives and people in private settings.
Focus of activities since 2015:
Supporting and accompanying executives and individuals in one-on-one or group coaching.
Organizing and conducting leadership training, professional development, and leadership masterclasses worldwide.
In this context: supporting, in some cases individually, well over 1,000 people.
For many people, these training programs were important turning points in their lives.
Positions of responsibility (selection):
Founder of the Triodos Venture Capital Fund in 2001, Fund Manager, and member of the Steering Committee for the founding of the Triodos Organic Growth Fund in 2013.
Co-founder of Triodos Bank Germany and Co-Managing Director from 2009 to early 2014.
Co-founder of the Purpose Foundation in Switzerland, which has since given rise to, among other things, an investment company and the Steward-Ownership initiative (Initiative Verantwortungseigentum).
Member of the Supervisory Board of Aarstiderne A/S, an organic produce box subscription business with over 40,000 weekly customer deliveries and more than 350 employees. Financed through the Triodos funds mentioned above. Member of the Supervisory Board from 2001 - 2024.
Financing, advising, and helping shape the succession of the company Waschbär, from 2002 to 2025.
Co-founder and, since then, member of the Supervisory Board of Kulturland eG, which finances and provides land for organic farming—initial discussions took place as early as 2007, the cooperative was founded in 2013, and I stepped down from the Supervisory Board in 2023.
Member, and since 2024 Co-President, of the Board of Directors of Klinik Arlesheim, Switzerland, with over 500 employees, since 2016. Anthroposophic Medicine and new leadership methods and organizational models.
